SGS & Co is seeking an Onsite Packaging Project Manager to join us and manage our packaging design, artwork, and pre-press projects for one of our highest-profile, Barcelona-based clients.The purpose of this position is to facilitate jobs in the execution phase of our Client’s artwork process for packaging production.As a key facilitator within the supply chain for packaging artwork issues, you will communicate with the client, design firms, and SGS&CO production to ensure proper printability for packaging.As a key figure within the process, you will help maintain and improve SGS&CO's relationship with the Client. Your primary concern will be to coordinate packaging change projects. The Onsite Project Manager is the primary resource to the Client and the key point of contact to the studio at SGS&CO.Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results :
Client InteractionConsult with Client during the artwork (exe) and pre-press (repro) developmentBe a brand guardian by supporting the client in terms of brand development and consistencyCommunicate key milestones and critical path timelines to key stakeholders.Collate accurate client briefingsAttend any pre-production meetings (or other meetings), per request of the ClientRespond in a timely manner to ClientsEstablish a good and professional working relationship with our client and design firm(s)Communicate artwork issues with the Client / StudioCommunicate minor issues directly with design firms. If timing is impacted, contact ClientDocument all critical and pertinent information that may impact qualityParticipate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the businessProject CoordinationGather, coordinate, and communicate job-related information to production to ensure the highest level of service deliveryCoordinate pre-artwork calls with production and print technical managementVerify technical supplied data is correct for the supplied artSchedule and ensure deadlines are being met on all aspects of the projectReview PDFs for questions / commentsUnderstand the Client’s process (deliverables, rework)Order entry (ensure orders are complete and concise when delivered to production)Educational & Experience Minimum RequirementsThis position requires the following knowledge and skills :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
