Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Regional Sales Manager North West Europe / Iberia to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will maximise the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory, focusing on developing sales opportunities, customer account management, and driving contribution to the hotels within their region(s).
The region includes North West Europe / Iberia, with a focus on Iberia and the UK. The role involves managing and developing existing National and Regional Accounts and developing new business across all market segments to enhance contribution to hotel performance.
This position requires a sales approach in partnership with clients and travel intermediaries, aiming to deliver incremental revenue and increased market share for hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.
Key Responsibilities
1. Meet or exceed annual revenue goals by managing a portfolio of clients, devising and implementing sales plans, negotiating rates, and managing RFPs.
2. Conduct approximately 25+ sales appointments or calls monthly.
3. Identify and secure new accounts and build a robust pipeline with revenue and room night targets, focusing on corporate, group/MICE, and leisure segments.
4. Develop strategic partnerships with key clients and travel agencies to maximize hotel revenue.
5. Work closely with franchise and management partners to understand their needs and educate them on WHR tools.
6. Collaborate internally to ensure success and support colleagues using available business tools and systems.
7. Represent WHR at industry events and participate in associations.
8. Continuously develop personal knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
9. Drive significant revenue into the portfolio, managing accounts within the territory and working remotely with minimal supervision.
10. Manage expenses within pre-determined budgets and review ROI for all business activities.
Skills and Experience
* Strong sales knowledge of the hospitality sector within the territory.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible, results-oriented, and accountable.
* Degree or equivalent experience, with significant hotel sales experience (property, national, or global).
* Multisegment knowledge preferred.
* Fluency in English; additional European languages such as Spanish are advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems.
* Full local driving license preferred.
Other Details
This role is primarily remote, with responsibilities including travel within the territory. The position involves managing a revenue goal, expenses, and participating in incentive plans.
