In ARQUIMEA AEROSPACE DEFENCE & SECURITY develops safer and more reliable defense systems through technology, including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems.
We are looking for a Aerodynamics UAV Engineer with the mission to design, develop and optimize UAV systems and components.
Tasks to be performed
* Aerodynamic design of UAV platforms, both fixed-wing and rotary-wing.
* Knowledge of aerodynamic simulation tools (XFLR5 / FLUENT / OPENFOAM) is highly valued.
* Preparation of technical and manufacturing documentation for UAV platforms.
* Preparation and execution of UAV test plans, both in the laboratory and in flight.
Required skills, experience and candidate profile
* Aeronautical or industrial engineering.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in UAV platforms.
* Experience with Catia or SolidWorks design software.
* Knowledge of aerodynamic calculations and flight mechanics is essential.
* Experience with Matlab, Python or similar software environments for aircraft modelling.
* Knowledge of assembly, manufacturing and maintenance processes for UAV platforms.
* Knowledge of drone piloting is valued.
* Knowledge of aerodynamic simulation tools (XFLR5 / FLUENT / OPENFOAM) is valued.
* Level B2-C1 English.
The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
