About the role
The Diageo Southern Europe Finance team supports Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece. The team delivers key business objectives and targets across the P&L, Balance Sheet and broader market share.
The A&P Finance Business Partner will drive excellent decision making across the Consumer and Customer Marketing Teams and support the business in setting and realizing its performance ambition and AOP.

The successful candidate will partner the SE Marketing and SE Customer Marketing teams to optimize Southern Europe's total A&P budget.

Top Accountabilities
* Provide decision support to customer and consumer marketing teams, improving return on investment, Net Sales Value, Gross Profit, Gross Margin %, CAAP and CAAP Margin%.
* Partner with marketing & customer marketing teams on their A&P budget, seeking opportunities for growth.
* Partner with SE Finance team (Commercial Finance, Finance Controls, BPM team, etc.) to bring together Brand/category/Portfolio perspective with Country/Channel perspective.
* Guarantee quality A&P budget management, giving confidence to the wider SE business on A&P accuracy and correct spending in line with strategy.
* Partner with marketing teams to implement high-quality measurement and evaluation of our marketing activities.
* Identify and implement A&P process improvements on A&P/finance projects.
* Use insightful analysis to identify business opportunities.
* Presents analysis to teams and empower them to deliver against goals.
* Support strategic planning and forecasting processes.
* Ensure governance and controls are in place for all investment and best-in-class process, data and tools are available to support decision making.

Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities
* Qualified accountant studying or having studied towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications (preferred).
* Genuine relationships built on mutual trust & respect.
* Successful management of senior partners resulting in strong positive outcomes.
* Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, ambitious and matrixed environment.
* Deep personal accountability for extraordinary performance.
* Strong commercial and numerical savvy with attention to detail.
* Excel, BPM (or equivalent), CRM (advantage or similar) system knowledge.
* Mastery in financial analysis.
* Minimum 4+ years of finance experience ideally in FMCG/Consumer goods.
