King’s College, world-renowned for academic excellence, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious professional to the position of Summer Camp Non Residential Monitor.
Dates: July 1st – July 31st (Monday to Friday)
Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:
General duties:
· Staff must respect the guidelines set down by King’s College S.L.
· Staff is required to attend the Training Days/planning sessions before the start of the Course.
· Staff is responsible for ensuring that they maintain good standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
· The uniform provided by King’s College S.L. should be worn at all times as well suitable foot- wear.
· Follow the Non-Residential course timetable and be punctual at all times.
· Be willing to work a flexible timetable.
· Be responsible, professional and flexible in all your duties.
· Ensure that children are given adequate care at all time and specially when feeling unwell or injured.
· Maintain an awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations.
· Unpacking and packing with teachers of course material (start and end of Summer Course)
· Work as part of a team.
· Be available whenever you are needed.
Monitoring Duties:
· Use English at all times with the children in the course.
· Be responsible for the well-being of the children in the Course and make sure they are never left un- attended.
· Plan and prepare the sports and games sessions utilising appropriate materials according to the age of the children.
· Supervise and manage, when required, a class of 10 - 15 students between the ages of six to sixteen years.
· Offer assistance to the teachers with their students when necessary.
· Be responsible for the materials provided by the camp for any activity that is organised.
· Chaperone the students on offsite-excursions, following safety instructions from the course coordinator/ director.
· Keep all areas clean and tidy.
· Administer first aid to children when necessary.
· Inform the General Director, nurse, Academic Coordinator and Activities Coordinator of children’s injuries, accidents and illnesses at any time of the day.
· Be prepared to do a rotation of the following duties: break time, lunchtime, monitoring with the lifeguards during pool time, midday/afternoon bus routes.
· Accompany and supervise children to the pool/optional activities.
· In case of an accident, fill out an incident sheet.
· Attend all staff meetings.

CERTIFICATES OR DEGREES
· High School diploma required.
· Monitor/a de actividades de tiempo libre.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Some physical demand or athletic ability is necessary.
