Senior Vice President Business Development

A strategic Business Development leader is sought to drive commercial growth across Europe and select international markets. The SVP will expand the company's biologics and gene/cell therapy service offerings, develop key client relationships, and shape the commercial strategy to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the EU business development strategy for protein and gene/cell therapy services.
Build, manage, and close a pipeline of high-value B2B opportunities across pharma, biotech, and life sciences sectors.
Lead full-cycle sales, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers and partners.
Represent the organization at industry events and contribute to scaling the business development function.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of business development or commercial leadership experience in biopharma, biotech, or analytical CROs.
Proven track record of closing complex deals in protein or gene therapy markets.
Deep understanding of biopharmaceutical drug development (NBEs, biosimilars, gene/cell therapies).
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; advanced or business degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Established network across European pharma and biotech sectors.
Experience scaling business development functions in high-growth environments.
Hands‐on, proactive approach with a hunter mentality.
Fluency in English; additional European language preferred.
