Sales & Events Assistant Manager - Hotel Luxury Lifestyle 5* Location: Barcelona (Spain) Job Reference: BY Functions Catenon is currently looking for a Sales and Events Assistant Manager for a prestigious international hotel, based in Barcelona. Reporting to the Commercial Director, your mission will consist of leading effectively the team by generating budgeted top line revenue and RevPAR for the hotel through a successful revenue management strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the Sales and Events Department and development of team action plans, forecasting, and evaluating trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
Leading by example: assisting in leading, training, and mentoring group/events sales managers. Identifying opportunities for improvement and assisting in their development.
Developing and implementing sales action plans for the group, corporate, leisure, and catering segments for the sales and event team.
Analyzing forecast, cost, and revenue reports and making sales strategy decisions based on that information to ensure the hotel's RevPAR and good positioning within the comp set.
Organizing and participating in fam trips and sales blitzes/missions for the hotel group in key markets with qualified pre-trip agendas and detailed post-trip reports.
Qualifications Qualification Standards:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel sales roles, with at least 3 years as a senior manager (with direct teams, at least 4-5 people) or ADOS within the hospitality industry.
Excellent spoken and written communications skills in Spanish and English, Catalan is a plus, but not required.
Good understanding and experience of group, corporate, leisure, and event markets and previous work experience in the Barcelona luxury lifestyle market.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. Opera and Delphi are a plus.
