Web Portfolio Strategist and Design Lead
We are looking for a Web Portfolio Strategist and Design Lead to work for one of our clients based out of Spain.

Role
We are seeking a strategic and creative design lead to manage the portfolio over the Enterprise Web Initiatives for a large global pharmaceutical organization. This role combines design leadership, portfolio strategy, and light project management to oversee a diverse range of web projects. The ideal candidate will have a blend of visual design expertise, hands-on design capabilities, strategic thinking, and experience managing cross-functional teams in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Strategy and Management :
2. Oversee the Enterprise Web Initiative portfolio of an International Business Unit (IBU), ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional regulatory requirements.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders across Europe to prioritize and resource projects effectively.
4. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, proactively addressing risks or roadblocks.
5. Provide strategic oversight and direction for visual design outputs across the portfolio.
6. Ensure design standards and branding guidelines are consistently met across all web initiatives.
7. Review and critique design deliverables to maintain high-quality outcomes.
8. Contribute directly to designs with hands-on execution when necessary.
1. Collaboration and Communication :
2. Act as the primary liaison between European and global teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
3. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and streamlined workflows.
4. Serve as the point of contact for EU-specific considerations, including regulations and cultural nuances.
1. Resource Planning and Team Oversight :
2. Coordinate resourcing for design and development teams, ensuring appropriate skillsets are matched to project needs.
3. Identify gaps in resourcing or capabilities and propose solutions to address them.
4. Provide mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
1. Regulatory Compliance :
2. Ensure all web initiatives comply with EU regulations and standards, including accessibility, privacy, and pharmaceutical guidelines.
Required Qualifications :
* 7+ years of experience in digital design, strategy, or portfolio management, ideally within regulated industries (pharma preferred).
* Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design and digital strategy.
* Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
* Experience managing large-scale, complex portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
* Familiarity with EU regulatory environments, including GDPR and accessibility standards.
* Proven ability to work across multiple time zones, particularly with EU-based teams.
* Exceptional communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
* Experience in pharma, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors.
* Based in Europe or significant experience working with EU-based teams.
