Your objectives:
As the Senior Director – Business Development, you will be measured against the following objectives:
* Deliver sustainable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations.
* Build and maintain a strong commercial pipeline across Europe by implementing effective sales strategies and market engagement.
* Strengthen long term customer relationships while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and commercial performance.
What you will do:
As the Senior Director – Business Development, your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the life science sector.
* Build and maintain relationships with senior decision makers to expand strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities.
* Support the development and execution of regional commercial strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
* Coordinate proposals, contracts, and commercial negotiations while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and business profitability.
* Represent the organisation at industry conferences, trade events, and networking activities across the life science sector.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical, operational, and marketing functions to deliver strong client solutions.
* Monitor market trends, maintain an active sales pipeline, and provide regular commercial updates and forecasts to leadership.
What you will bring:
These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Senior Director – Business Development:
* Extensive experience in business development within the small molecule Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) sector.
* Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing complex commercial opportunities within the life science industry.
* Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology market trends and customer needs.
* Excellent relationship building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities, prioritise effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic commercial environment.
* Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Life Science or a related scientific discipline.
* Willingness to travel extensively to client sites, conferences, and internal business locations.
