As an Expert Digital & Tech (D&T) Technical Data Steward, you drive consistent, enterprise‐level execution of data governance and data management by providing hands‐on stewardship across data cataloging, data quality, metadata and lineage, issue resolution, and access control. You enhance and augment domain squads with targeted technical expertise, ensuring stewardship practices are harmonized, scalable, and fit‐for‐purpose. Through your leadership, you embed reliable governance capabilities into business domains, elevate data maturity, and enable trusted, high‐quality data for decision‐making.
Your key responsibilities Data improvements & stewardship: Execute domain-driven initiatives to consolidate, harmonize, and assess data; track progress, issues, risks, and mitigations.
Data Quality (DQ): Capture requirements; define metrics & rules; monitor and report DQ; design, build, and maintain data integration and transformation workflows, covering data discovery, quality rule creation/migration to IDMC, validations, data transformation, and other processing activities. Implement, maintain, and document DQ rule changes following established change control processes.
Catalog & Metadata: Own documentation and updates in Data Management tools (Informatica) with clear definitions, classifications, tags; align with domain ownership for transparency & findability.
Data Lineage: Establish and validate end‐to‐end lineage so upstream/downstream impacts are visible to squads.
Data Cleansing & issue management: Coordinate and execute technical cleansing; perform root‐cause analysis; recommend solutions and prevent recurrence; define & operate domain‐aligned workflows with clear SLAs.
Data Access & Sharing: Support enablement of data access aligned to classification and sharing policies; enforce approvals and auditability patterns.
Data Products & Use‐cases: Provide technical guidance (profiling, fit‐for‐purpose assessments) during data product/use‐case delivery.
Measurement: Demonstrate accountability and ownership for data health by actively contributing to Data Health dashboards (covering data quality, discoverability, reliability, business usage, etc.), implementation of DQ metrics. Champion data trust, transparency, and compliance.
Collaborations & Continuous Improvement: Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across data domains. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data management, reusable libraries and playbooks for DQ assets.
