Role description
As the Head of Analytics and Pricing, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for data-driven decision-making, pricing strategy, and business intelligence for OLX’s General Classifieds vertical. This role will focus on monetization, competitive pricing models, and advanced analytics to optimize revenue, user engagement, and marketplace efficiency. You will deliver business impact through pricing models, A / B testing, performance analytics, and market intelligence in a fast-paced digital marketplace environment.
This role intersects pricing, data science, product, and commercial strategy. You will manage a team of data scientists and analysts to optimize performance and unlock insights that enhance user experience, marketplace efficiency, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Pricing Strategy & Monetization
* Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for listings, packages, and new services.
* Analyze competitor pricing, demand elasticity, and user behavior to optimize revenue.
* Collaborate with product, sales, and commercial teams to maximize pricing impact.
* Partner with Finance to assess impacts of pricing initiatives.
* Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence
* Lead a team of data scientists and analysts to generate actionable insights.
* Build predictive models to forecast demand, churn, and pricing sensitivity.
* Define KPIs and dashboards to monitor business health and trends.
* Translate data insights into strategic initiatives.
* Run A / B tests and experiments to refine pricing tiers and strategies.
* Identify growth opportunities through segmentation and cohort analysis.
* Oversee data infrastructure, governance, and BI tools with data engineering teams.
* Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Manage and mentor analysts, data scientists, and pricing experts.
* Align with product, finance, and regional teams on priorities.
* Present findings to senior leadership with clear narratives.
* Partner with leadership to implement data-driven recommendations.
* Build and develop a high-performing data team.
Who we are looking for :
1. 8+ years in pricing, strategy, or analytics, preferably in classifieds, marketplaces, e-commerce, or digital platforms.
2. Strong understanding of pricing models and statistical analysis.
3. Hands-on experience with SQL, Python / R, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with big data platforms.
4. Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
5. MBA or Master’s in Economics, Data Science, or related field preferred.
6. Business acumen to balance data insights with commercial strategy.
7. Leadership experience managing analytics teams in fast-paced environments.
