Senior Data Engineer

Up to 65K + variable Full remote
RESPONSIBILITIES ⚒️ 1. Data Governance Leadership Lead the definition and implementation of data governance policies including cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and security. Ensure regulatory compliance and the reliability of organizational data assets. 2. Scalable Architecture Design Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient data architectures. Future-proof the infrastructure to handle increasing data volume and complexity. 3. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with key stakeholders (business, data science, marketing, etc.) to gather data requirements. Provide transparency on project progress and deliver impactful data solutions. 4. Data Exploration & Optimization Participate in exploratory data analysis to detect patterns, anomalies, and opportunities. Use insights to inform the design and optimization of data pipelines and models. 5. Technical Leadership & Best Practices Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering: CI/CD, automated testing, and proactive monitoring. Set high engineering standards and mentor team members.
QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience
in data engineering, ideally in high-scale or distributed environments. Proven expertise in data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, DBT, Kafka, Snowflake, and/or Databricks. Hands-on experience
applying DevOps principles to data pipelines: CI/CD, version control, monitoring, and testing. Strong ability to design and implement data models for analytics, BI, and machine learning applications. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially data-related services. Excellent
communication skills
for translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within technical teams.
