How will you make a difference?
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
* Extensive senior-level experience (6+ years) leading, architecting, and guiding complex DevOps transformations and infrastructure evolution
* Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Networking and IAM
* Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager) for provisioning and managing GCP resources
* Solid Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
* Solid Experience with monitoring and logging tools specific to GCP (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana)
* Experience with some programming languages (preferably Typescript, JS, Go or Python)
* Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
* A strong preference for working in agile and dynamic environments
* Expertise in fostering teamwork, enabling effective collaboration and synergy across teams for continuous improvement
Requirements
What will you do?
* Manage the deployment, configuration, and scaling of various mobile and web application backends across different GCP services
* Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using relevant languages (e.g., Python, Go, or TypeScript where applicable for infrastructure scripting) to provision and manage GCP resources
* Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
* Implement and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using GCP's native tools and other relevant solutions to ensure maximum availability, performance, and reliability of our mobile application backends
* Collaborate closely with mobile, web and backend development teams to define and implement best practices for deployment, performance optimization, and observability of mobile backends on GCP
* Ensure that security best practices are followed in the configuration of GCP infrastructure and deployment pipelines for mobile backends
* Create and maintain detailed technical documentation on deployment architecture, processes, and troubleshooting guides specific to our mobile backend infrastructure on GCP
* Proactively identify and implement improvements to our GCP infrastructure and DevOps processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
