As a Mid QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated test suites that validate software conformance to defined acceptance criteria, design documentation, and application standards.
The Mid QA Automation Engineer will work closely with Business Analysts and Development Teams across various projects, ensuring adherence to quality assurance and control processes while actively contributing to their ongoing development and improvement.
Reports on test run results are expected to help identify problematic areas and provide status updates for business stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
1. Designing, developing, and implementing automated, functional, and non-functional validation solutions;
2. Designing, developing, and implementing automated test scripts for desktop applications;
3. Creating and analyzing requirements for estimation and execution of manual test cases;
4. Maintaining test documentation and reporting defects;
5. Identifying, analyzing, and reporting overall test status and results, including defects/issues that arise, to the project team;
6. Preparing test data and ensuring the availability and health of testing environments;
7. Providing task estimates for creating and executing automated tests, and reporting any variances to the Project Manager;
8. Participating in bug triage processes to prioritize and manage issues;
9. Contributing to the creation and maintenance of the test automation and tools knowledge base for QA Management.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance;
* Hands-on experience in functional testing, including end-to-end and regression testing;
* Experience in logging and tracking defects through to closure using issue tracking tools such as JIRA;
* Experience with automation testing tools, especially Selenium WebDriver;
* Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Java;
* Experience with version control systems like GIT or SVN;
* Understanding of REST architecture and testing against endpoints;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach to test preparation and execution;
* Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems;
* Experience testing desktop applications, including Microsoft 360 (Word and PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
