COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR SPAIN (reporting to the General Manager)
Location: Andalusia, Mallorca or Barcelona
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Commercial Director to lead the ultra-luxury hotel's overall revenue generation strategy across Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and PR. This role is instrumental in driving top-line performance, strengthening brand positioning, and ensuring a cohesive commercial approach aligned with ultra-luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy
- Define and execute the hotel's integrated commercial strategy.
- Identify growth opportunities across key markets and segments.
- Ensure brand consistency and positioning across all channels.
Revenue Management
- Oversee pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies.
- Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and competitive set.
- Drive performance across key KPIs: RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, GOP.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
Sales
- Lead and develop the sales team across segments (Leisure, Corporate, MICE, Consortia).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and roadshows.
Marketing
- Develop and execute the marketing plan (digital and offline).
- Oversee website performance, SEO/SEM, CRM, and social media.
- Drive brand campaigns, launches, and activations aligned with luxury positioning.
Public Relations (PR)
- Manage PR strategy and media relations.
- Build relationships with press, influencers, and opinion leaders.
- Oversee brand exposure, events, and reputation management.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary commercial team.
- Set clear objectives and drive performance culture.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Candidate Profile:
Experience
- 8–10+ years in senior commercial roles within luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality.
- Proven leadership across Revenue, Sales, and Marketing functions.
- Strong track record in driving revenue growth and brand positioning.
Education
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
- MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Data-driven decision making.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Deep understanding of luxury service standards and customer expectations.
Languages
- Fluent in Spanish and English (mandatory).
- Additional languages are a plus.
