Responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist for the Storage Portfolio, you will apply your sales and product expertise to close business for IBM, often in conjunction with Business Partners. You will match IBM solutions to client requirements and sell IBM offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Develop and Maintain Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in a designated set of IBM Storage offerings to effectively match solutions to client requirements.
- Sell IBM Offerings: Sell IBM Storage offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, applying sales and product expertise to close business for IBM.
- Understand Competition: Understand competition and develop appropriate winning sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with Business Partners: Collaborate with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to drive success.
- Match Solutions to Client Needs: Work with clients to understand their requirements and match IBM Storage solutions to meet their needs, driving client satisfaction and loyalty.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Exposure to IBM Storage Offerings: Familiarity with IBM Storage set of offerings, including their features, benefits, and applications.
- Experience with Sales Strategies: Understanding of sales strategies and tactics to effectively match IBM solutions to client requirements and drive business growth.
- Knowledge of Competition: Awareness of competitors in the storage market and ability to develop winning sales strategies.
- Experience with Business Partner Collaboration: Familiarity with collaborating with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Understanding of Client Requirements: Ability to work with clients to understand their requirements and match IBM Storage solutions to meet their needs.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

- Additional IBM Storage Knowledge: Exposure to other IBM Storage offerings beyond the designated set, including their features, benefits, and applications, to further enhance expertise and drive business growth.
- Advanced Sales Strategies: Understanding of advanced sales strategies and tactics to effectively match IBM solutions to complex client requirements and drive business growth.
- Industry Trends Awareness: Familiarity with industry trends and developments in the storage market to stay ahead of competition and identify new sales opportunities.
