TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF CARTAGENA, A CALL FOR APPLICATIONS IS ANNOUNCED FOR THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTING OF SCIENTIFIC-TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF PRE-DOCTORAL RESEARCH STAFF IN TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF FOOD SAFETY AND FOOD MICROBIOLOGY, TO BE FUNDED BY R&D&I ACTIVITIES. TITLE OF THE POSITION OFFERED: Pre-doctoral Researcher in Communication Sciences.
SUBJECT AREA: Communication Sciences.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Temporary. 36 months.
PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: Pre-doctoral Researcher in Training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: MASTER'S DEGREE IN TELEMATICS ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS.
In the case of degrees obtained abroad (including EU degrees), candidates must provide proof that they hold the corresponding validation or credential certifying, where applicable, the equivalence of their degree.
WEEKLY DEDICATION: The position will be full time, and the workweek will be 37,5 hours, carried out from Monday to Friday.
GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee will receive an annual gross salary of 20.599,88 euros.
PROJECT TITLE: Food Safety and Food Microbiology.
DURATION: 36 months. R&D&I activity associated with the contract:
‘Advanced Cybersecurity Tools for Critical Food Supply Chains’, reference 101249720_DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07, funded by the COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES. Budget item 3005189971 541A 642.10 (code: 2025/00346/001).
Tasks to be carried out
The activities are part of the ACT4FOOD project. The person hired will develop a methodology for identifying and assessing hazards (HACCP) and threats (TACCP) in food, updating current methodologies and taking into account the particularities of the digital transition.

Merits to be assessed and evaluation criteria
* Academic record (30%): The average grade for undergraduate and master's degree subjects will be evaluated.
* Specific training (20%): The completion of final projects in the field of cybersecurity will be evaluated, as well as training courses related to the job profile.
* Professional experience (10%): Professional experience in the field of cybersecurity will be evaluated.
* Languages (20%): Certification of a B2 level or higher will be evaluated with 20 points.
* Personal interview (20%): Knowledge in the field of security and motivation to pursue a doctoral thesis will be evaluated. Having worked on research projects will be viewed positively. Basic knowledge of food quality and safety systems will be evaluated.
