Senior Android Security Architect / Secure Environment Expert (Remote)
A leading technology organisation is seeking a Senior Android Security Architect to support the design and implementation of a hardened Android platform on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be a senior technical authority with deep expertise across Secure Android implementations, Trusted Execution Environments, and secure platform architecture within complex embedded systems environments.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership on Android platform security architecture and secure environment implementations.
* Support security-focused Android deployments and contribute to threat modeling, security reviews, and platform hardening initiatives.
* Guide and mentor engineering teams on Android security concepts and implementation.
* Assist with the design and implementation of secure boot, AVB, and related secure Android components.
* Advise on Kernel security topics (e.g., MTE, PAC, BTI, IOMMU/SMMU) and embedded Linux security considerations.
Qualifications
* Strong experience with Android platform security architecture.
* Experience with Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), Secure Enclave, or similar secure environments.
* Knowledge of Android system hardening and secure platform design.
* Familiarity with Android BSP and GKI architecture.
* Experience supporting security-focused Android deployments.
* Ability to provide technical leadership on Android platform security architecture.
* Experience guiding implementation of secure Android environments and trusted execution models.
* Ability to support security reviews, threat mitigation, and platform hardening initiatives.
* Experience mentoring engineering teams on Android security concepts and implementation.
* Kernel security expertise (MTE, PAC, BTI, IOMMU/SMMU) beneficial.
* Secure Boot and AVB implementation knowledge desirable.
* Embedded Linux security experience advantageous.
