Your job will be to build Generative AI video services and agentic systems for all OLX customer units (Motors, Real Estate, Goods, Jobs and Services).
As a Junior Data Scientist in the team, you will work with an amazing squad composed of different profiles such as Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Managers and Analysts. The team will be focusing on building and deploying Generative AI Media services, agents and 3D at scale across all OLX platforms. Our overarching goal is to drive impact and push the boundaries of innovation, delivering these next-generation experiences in a relentlessly cost-efficient manner. You will be responsible for ensuring that ideas are either deployed to all users or die in production, not surviving the validation. Iterate quickly, fail fast, learn, and improve. What you will do as an Data Scientist in Data Science at OLX:
1. Work in the Data Science team, focusing on LLMs and GenAI, from a platform and marketplace perspective.
2. You will build models, tinker around them to make them work, test them, and eventually deploy them to production. You will see your stuff in action and you will be able to measure the true impact of your models (less expected, yet a requirement)
3. You will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. This means asking a lot of questions to business people, and translating their requirements into achievable projects. It also means collaborating with other teams, like infrastructure and data engineering to get things done in an elegant and timely manner.
4. Partner with Engineering and Product to deliver solutions (customer-facing and platforms) to our customers (internal and end customers)
5. Work with Product Analytics to track the KPIs of different ML use cases and measure the impact on our customers.
6. Partner with the Experimentation team to integrate the KPIs and their proxies into the Experimentation (A/B testing) platform.
7. You will work in multi-functional teams, in a diverse, multinational environment, filled with people from Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

Who we’re looking for:
9. At least 1 year of professional experience as a Data Scientist
10. At least some knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs (e.g., foundations like Transformer-based architectures, embeddings, etc.)
11. Good knowledge of the best engineering practices
12. Experience with serving machine learning models at scale
13. Strong engineering background: excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
14. Experience in using machine learning frameworks in production settings: Scikit-Learn, Pytorch (or similar)
15. Experience using cloud-based architectures for deploying machine learning solutions
16. Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
Nice to have:
17. Experience in computer vision
18. Exposure to other programming languages in the past, such as Kotlin, Java, Scala, etc
19. Experience bringing models into production and serving models at scale
20. Experience using AWS for deploying machine learning solutions
21. Experience with building data pipelines using tools like Spark and Airflow
22. Exposure to 3D and/or video editing
23. Experience with Agentic coding, SDD
24. Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation
25. Exposure to MLOps tools
