Atlas Copco has the firm commitment to contribute to a sustainable and emission free future. The person appointed will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of the projects assigned. They will also participate in the industrialization process of the designed products.
The Main Functions For The Position Are
- Design and develop the mechanical components for a new product: metal sheet and plastic parts.
- Frame/canopy design and containerization of equipment
- Create and maintain the technical documentation for supplier assembly and aftermarket service of the machinery.
- Manage the issues detected during the manufacturing process to ensure the continuous improvements.
- Work closely with other departments and external partners to assure and optimize the designs.
- Cooperate and supervise in the process of prototypes and industrialization of the projects
- CoGs, vibrations dumpers and material resistance calculations.
- Lifting structure design and calculations
- Validate prototype test results.
Experience Requirements
At least 5 years of proven experience in similar jobs.
Educational Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering specialized in Mechanical.
Knowledge Requirements
- Inventor/Eplan or similar CAE
- Office pack
- Professional competence in English
- PLM User
- General knowledge of industrial machinery
- Knowledge in cooling systems, vibrations, noise and engine is a plus.
- Knowledge on fabrication and/or transformation of shipping containers and containerized systems
