Purpose of the role
As a Sales Development representative, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, discovering their needs, and driving new business through outbound and inbound campaigns focused on security.
You will help businesses work better together, move fast, and innovate. As a member of the Sales Development team, you will be the first point of contact for hundreds of businesses, proactively engaging them to build enthusiasm, qualify their security needs, propose solutions, and direct them along the most appropriate sales path.
You will work towards individual targets and be part of a larger sales team aiming to grow our customer base across APAC. This role is phone-based, primarily involving outbound calls.
Responsibilities
* Achieve quarterly Key Performance Metrics and maintain daily and weekly activity targets
* Manage a portfolio of accounts to identify high-potential prospects, including new business and upsell opportunities
* Execute outbound prospecting to source, contact, and engage prospective customers
* Educate customers about our offerings
* Conduct daily outbound calls and emails (mainly cold calling), engage C-level decision-makers, build rapport, and assess needs
* Identify prospects' pain points, gather technical requirements, link business needs to cloud security solutions (solution-selling), and build value for the sales process
* Update and maintain prospect and customer data in Salesforce CRM, managing leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and activities
* Work towards team and individual goals related to productivity, conversion rates, opportunities, and pipeline management
Minimum Requirements
* BA / BS degree, technical degree preferred
* Native level of English
* At least 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience in outbound sales within the IT industry
* Basic understanding of cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform
* Ability to connect business needs with suitable solutions, strong business acumen
* Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented, high integrity and professionalism
* Comfortable working against quotas in a phone-based environment
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
* Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
* Analytical mindset, self-motivated, goal-oriented
* Strong organizational, pipeline, and time management skills
* Proficient computer skills for efficient navigation
Desirable Skills
* Cloud or Cyber Security certifications
* B2B sales experience in Cyber Security
* Proactive, confident, competitive, and tenacious individual
* Knowledge of local market and business environment
