Senior Resident Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector - Based in Spain
Location: Llodio, Spain (near Bilbao)
Duration: 1-year contract
Client: U.S. scientific research organization (DOE-affiliated)
What You'll Do
What You Will Do:
Oversee manufacturing activities at a copper coil fabrication site in Spain.
Review technical documentation (SOW, specs, drawings, etc.).
Monitor and document manufacturing quality compliance and risks.
Provide weekly written + visual reports of progress and issues.
Collaborate with U.S.-based QA, technical, and PM teams.
Travel to nearby sub-supplier facilities (
What You Bring
What You Bring:
10+ years in industry, 5+ in QA/QC oversight (manufacturing-focused).
Strong knowledge of QA standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1, AS9100, DOE O414.1D).
Experience with copper coil manufacturing, epoxy resins, fiberglass insulation, and VPI (a plus).
Strong English communication skills (written & verbal).
Ability to write reports, raise concerns diplomatically, and follow up on corrective actions.
Work Environment:
Combination of factory floor QA oversight and office-based documentation work.
Must be able to stand/walk during extended oversight tasks.
