Santander Insurance is seeking a Global Analyst of New Businesses to support its transformation into the fastest-growing insurance provider across its operating countries. The role reports to the Global New Businesses Manager within the Growth team and is based at our headquarters in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid.About the Challenge and Opportunity:
Insurance is a core component of Santander's business, contributing approximately €1,500M in profit with over 20 million active policies. It enhances customer loyalty and supports our mission by providing essential financial protection. The business has grown significantly, especially through digital transformation, but there is still substantial potential for growth across 11 countries. We are reorganizing our insurance operations under a new holding and aiming to double our business in five years. The Global Analyst will help transform our growth mindset and capabilities.Your Mission:
As a Global Analyst, your responsibilities include:
Supporting shareholder value creation through new spin-offs that promote growth and persistence.Identifying market opportunities, developing equity stories, and monitoring their implementation.Managing a portfolio of opportunities at various maturity stages to unlock value.Collaborating closely with your manager to anticipate growth avenues and risks.Fostering a data-driven culture with measurable results.Reporting team impact to the Executive Committee.Required Experience:
Proven track record in:
Identifying market opportunities and assessing business feasibility.Developing data-supported business cases.Leading change in large multinational, matrix organizations.Influencing peers positively.Managing cross-functional projects in a dynamic environment.Executing practical solutions swiftly.Education, Knowledge, and Traits:
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, with strong data interpretation skills.Proficient in data analysis and visualization, capable of simplifying findings for executives.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English and Spanish;
Portuguese is a plus.University Degree;
MBA or postgraduate studies are valued.
