The Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Central + West Spain (Madrid, Castilla, Rioja, Navarra, Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia, Extremadura ) drives sales to achieve significant targets for the Brand, acting as a business partner. The ASM builds partnerships with key specialty and premium partners in Outdoor Sports and defined lifestyle retailers in Cities & Mountain resorts by developing joint plans to serve the consumer that benefit both the retailer and Arc’teryx.
As the ASM – Central + West Spain, you will lead efforts to bring the Arc’teryx vision to life in Outdoor and Lifestyle Specialty Retail, while supporting community building in our stores, key accounts, and Premium Partners. Success ensures a seamless brand experience across your area. The role is field-based nationwide in Central + West Spain, open to remote work, with candidates required to be within reasonable driving distance of key retailers and to travel to our showroom in Barcelona during Sell-in seasons. Candidates must be eligible to work in Spain.

This role is field-based across Central + West Spain, with remote options, requiring proximity to key retailers and travel to Barcelona during Sell-in seasons. Must be eligible to work in Spain.

Core Activities:
* Translating seasonal strategy into sell-in and marketing plans to secure pre-orders and commitments from specialty retailers, including sell-through plans.
* Building joint business and consumer plans with premium partners to meet Arc’teryx objectives and enhance guest experience.
* Training retail staff on brand promise, seasonal vision, and product details to promote full-price sales and customer satisfaction.
* Managing order fulfillment, partner satisfaction, and in-season sales opportunities for profitable growth.
* Using data and experience to improve forecasts, planning, and product feedback.
* Traveling within your territory (40–50%) to sell, promote, and educate about Arc’teryx.
* Connecting with the Arc’teryx community—EMEA sales and allocation teams, Brand Stores, Ambassadors, Regional Staff, and wholesale staff—through events and activations to build brand awareness and excitement.
Future Projects:
* Collaborating with Community Marketing to identify new guests for the brand.
* Contributing to the development of new commercial strategies aligned with Arc’teryx values.
Candidate Profile:
* 5+ years in outdoor sales, account management, or related industries, ideally with technical outdoor apparel, gear, or footwear.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
* Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Strong sales, negotiation, and influence abilities.
* Organizational, analytical skills, with strategic planning experience.
* Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Proactive problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to ambiguity.
* Passion for outdoor activities and the brand ethos.
