Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join Ferrovial’s Digital Hub as Head of Business Domain. This is a senior-level position responsible for leading business engagement across assigned Ferrovial’s core areas (Construction, Highways, Airports, Energy, Digital Infrastructures and / or Corporation) and ensuring that the Digital Hub’s product portfolio delivers maximum value aligned with business strategy.
The selected candidate will act as the key interface between Ferrovial’s business units and cross-functional agile squads within the Digital Hub, coordinating the definition, planning, and delivery of high-impact user-centric digital products, and expert technical support. This specialized technical advice, and support is provided by the AI, IoT, and UX Centers of Excellence.
This role requires a business-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, collaboration culture, and a robust understanding of digital product development in complex environments.
Responsibilities :
* Become the owner of Digital Hub’s portfolio in the assigned business domains (Construction, Highways, Airports, Energy, Digital Infrastructures and / or Corporation).
* Represent the Digital Hub in strategic discussions with Ferrovial’s business units, other Technology related stakeholders and the ecosystem to identify needs and translate them into opportunities to deliver value through digital products or expert support.
* Coordinate and lead a team of Agile Delivery Leads (ADLs) to ensure alignment between product development and business priorities. Supervise products roadmap created by ADLs.
* Manage and prioritize the digital product backlog across business domains, ensuring that value delivery is maximized and aligned with corporate strategy.
* Oversee product-related budgeting, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial plans.
* Participate in the definition of strategic digital roadmaps, contributing to the overall vision and goals of the Digital Hub in coordination with other Heads (UX / UI, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence).
* Foster a collaborative, matrix-style working environment with diverse teams located in Spain and the United States.
* Ensure exceptional communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex digital concepts into actionable insights.
* Act as a facilitator in high-pressure environments, aligning diverse stakeholder requirements and driving decisions that support enterprise-wide impact.
* Promote agile ways of working, acting as a reference for digital product management best practices.
* Lead structured problem-solving processes to address emerging business needs through innovative digital solutions.
* Support the continuous improvement of the Digital Hub’s operations and team performance.
* Ability to evaluate external vendors and technology partners to assess strategic fit, business potential, and alignment with Ferrovial’s digital objectives.
* Demonstrated track record in managing multi-party agreements, including co-development frameworks, licensing models, or joint ventures involving digital assets.
* Capacity to represent the Digital Hub in external forums, digital ecosystems, or partner governance structures, positioning Ferrovial as a leading player the field.
Requirements :
1. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in digital product development, program management, or business technology leadership roles, ideally within large or complex organizations.
2. Proven experience managing cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams in agile environments.
3. Strong knowledge of at least two of Ferrovial’s key business areas : Construction, Highways, Airports, Energy, Digital Infrastructures and / or Corporation.
4. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and lead in uncertain and high-stakes contexts.
5. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and decision-making under pressure.
6. Experience in international environments; willingness to travel abroad several times a year.
7. Fluent in English (minimum C1; C2 preferred).
8. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
9. Experience in budget and resource management related to digital portfolios.
10. Familiarity with agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
11. Having the ability to travel across Ferrovial’s geographies is an advantage.
12. Valuable : Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner), or Product Management.
13. University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or postgraduate education in digital transformation is a plus.
