About The Role
As a Principal Contracts Consultant, you will serve as the subject‑matter expert on contracting practices and supplier/subcontractor terms and conditions (Ts&Cs). You will lead the development and application of contract templates for Westinghouse procurements, support negotiation and daily contract advisement, and ensure compliance with internal governance and contract approval processes.
Main Responsibilities
*
* Know, understand, and practice the standards and related policies contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business & Conduct."
* Advise on supplier and subcontractor terms and conditions (T&Cs) for Westinghouse supply‑chain operations, covering multiple contract types such as Engineered Goods, General Services, Engineering Services, and Logistics.
* Lead negotiations (in‑person and virtual) with suppliers/subcontractors on T&C issues, focusing on complex or high‑risk scopes of work.
* Support preparation and negotiation of complementary agreements including NDAs, licensing agreements, teaming agreements, master services or frame agreements.
* Provide input and guidance to supply‑chain personnel on applicable company governance procedural requirements, including approvals for contract positions and deviations from Westinghouse baseline contracting principles under the Limits of Authority (LOA) process.
* Perform final reviews of contract documents to support purchase‑order execution and advise on identified concerns, including required additional approvals.
* Interface with supply‑chain, legal, and business teams on procurement T&C issues to agree on strategy and represent the Procurement Contracts role at management meetings.
* Provide support for customer proposal development activities involving supply chain, analyzing customer contract requirements and supporting legal and supply‑chain personnel in developing commercial approaches and responses.
* Implement processes to "flow‑down" applicable customer‑contract requirements to suppliers and subcontractors for direct procurements.
* Collect and analyze contract trends with suppliers/subcontractors, share lessons learned, and provide ongoing feedback to Legal & Compliance leads for policy updates.
* Implement updates to assigned contract T&C templates.
Qualifications
*
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in contract analysis, contract management, and terms and conditions (T&C) for procurement disciplines.
* Working knowledge of commercial practices, risk assessment and mitigation principles, contracting structures, and legal/contract terms and conditions; familiarity with corporate/legal and compliance policies and directives.
* Demonstrated competency in procurement contracts, non‑disclosure agreements, technology licensing, teaming agreements, global business agreements, and project/contract management.
* Understanding of Westinghouse technical products/services and the nuclear industry.
* Hands‑on procurement project management and contract negotiation experience in the power market.
* Fluent in English.
* Up to 10% travel to support contract negotiations or meetings with partners.
