About the position
Multinational industrial company seeks to hire a Head of Finance to join our team located in Madrid.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Finance Business Partner of the CEO and management in all strategic and financial advice, contributing to the development and operations of the company's overall strategy.
Optimise and drive financial and business processes
- Preparation and elaboration of detailed, regular financial reporting requested from the shareholder finance team within established deadlines.
Accountable for the yearly external audit process which includes reports, financial statements that are completed accurately on time (in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS), in full, corresponding to actuals.
Accountable for timely monthly reporting and quality of shareholder's standards including sophisticated business insights and actions to deliver results.
Providing analysis as required by the shareholders
- Lead the monthly forecasting and yearly budget process for the organization within scheduled.
- Managing and monitoring the company's daily cash position including regular cash forecasting.
Provide comprehensive review and commentary on cost center findings.
Recommend potential actions to mitigate adverse performance.
- Ensure compliance of local tax and transfer pricing in alignment with the shareholder specific teams.
- Support and collaborate from a financial perspective in the contract drafting and negotiation for main business operations, including energy supply agreements, gas supply contracts, operation & maintenance contracts, position hand-over (tolling, ISDA etc) contracts and other key commercial documents relevant to the energy supply sector.
Candidates will work in close collaboration with Cogen O&S and legal departments
- Providing decision support to the Management in project financing: preparing the economic aspects of development projects, in particular maximising the IRR of operations with the assistance of the Group's financial, technical and R&D unit.
- Working with Group Treasury and Management in negotiating debt/equity for development projects and iterating the content of recommendations as well as any other tasks required for successful completion of the project.
- Strategic advice and execution support on growth initiatives, including:
Supervision of finance due diligence
Support integration process
- Full leadership, supervision and management of the team. Developing, mentoring and building out the finance team as appropriate.
- Hold additional key appointments as required, such as directorships, secretary of board roles or the like, at the group entities.
- Member of the management team:
Consulting with the CEO and with the managers of other fields.
Financial advice to the management meetings in all internal discussions.
Serve as controller for the legal entites. Control and supervision of activity.
- Perform any assignments, tasks or projects as required, for the successful execution of the role for the organization and it shareholders.
