The Customer Account Manager is responsible for acquiring new battery/electrolyte customers and managing the commercial relationship as the primary customer contact. This role drives business development, captures customer requirements, and ensures alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities, and works closely with the R&D, quality and production departments for successful project design.
Main areas of responsibility and tasks:
Stakeholder Management
* Serve as the primary liaison between the company and customers/partners.
* Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
* Keep stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and issues.
* Provide technical guidance to project teams. Collaborate closely with R&D, Process Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to align process development efforts with organizational goals.
* Ensure that all project deliverables meet technical specifications and quality standards.
* Address and resolve technical issues promptly.
Develop leads
* Find relevant leads to be added to the client development funnel
* Reach the right contact at targeted companies, by leveraging events, network and other contacts in the ecosystem
Risk Management
* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Implement contingency plans as needed.
Project Planning and Management
* Ensures the development of comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
* Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely delivery.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across different processes to ensure all deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards.
* Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance process efficiency, product quality, and yield.
Reporting and Documentation
* Ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
* Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
* Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management.

Main requirements:
Education
* Master's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. PhD battery related topic is a plus
Additional trainings
* Training or certification in Project Management or related fields.
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer relationship and/or project management positions, preferably in the Automotive or battery cell manufacturing industry.
* Essential to have previous experience in the understanding of battery cell development and requirements (Li-ion batteries or next generation batteries) for automotive and non-automotive applications.
Languages
* Fluent in English;
other European languages are advantageous.
