Overview
Data and analytics - SAP Planning expert (SAC, TM1) at Roche. This role is part of Roche Informatics' Data Advisory & Insights team and involves building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders across functions, understanding customer needs, problem-solving, contributing to product vision and roadmaps, managing the team backlog, and supporting teams in delivering value through continuous feedback. The candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently with minimal oversight, and have a proven track record in understanding business requirements to collaboratively deliver data products.
The Financial Planning team at Roche supports company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes. We are seeking a Senior TM1/Planning Analytics Engineer to plan, architect, enhance and build support processes for current or future applications.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders across functions to understand needs and translate them into data products.
* Contribute to product vision and roadmaps; manage the team backlog and support teams in delivering value with continuous feedback.
* Apply deep TM1/Planning Analytics expertise to architect and implement planning solutions (data models, cubes, dimensions).
* Develop and optimize Turbo Integrator (TI) processes, TM1 rules, and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) workbooks.
* Understand TM1 REST API and write API calls with complex and parameter-driven MDX queries.
* Design and implement TM1 security models and use Perspectives and PAFE Excel Add-ins.
* Program in required languages (VBA, Python, JavaScript/CSS) and work with relational databases using SQL and MDX.
* Design, implement, test, and document financial planning applications; serve as a Business Analyst by collaborating with customers to understand processes and requirements.
* Document user requirements and create Functional Specifications and Design documents.
* Demonstrate self-organization and proactive problem-solving; communicate effectively in English.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to balance customer-centric thinking with technical feasibility and stakeholder needs.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
