The Group Finance team, called "PBRC" (Planning, Budget, Results, Central), is based in Paris and Madrid. This department analyzes, comments, and reports financial information to Group Management (CEO, CFO, Board) and external parties (shareholders, analysts, auditors, regulators). It reports to the Group CFO of AXA Group.
PBRC owns major finance processes at Group level, including analysis and monitoring of IFRS and Solvency II accounts, forecast analyses, and the production of the annual report. It reassesses financial indicators and leads the "PBR" family within the Group.
Within PBRC, the Group Consolidation team prepares the AXA Group IFRS Financial Statements and Solvency II Pillar 3 regulatory reporting quarterly. It interacts with entities to review and control reports, supports accounting and consolidation topics, and coordinates the production of financial statements. The team collaborates with other Group departments and external stakeholders like auditors and regulators.
The team consists of junior and senior Controllers in Madrid, supervised by the Head of Consolidation. Controllers manage specific topics and liaise with entities and other Group teams.
GENERAL MISSION :
The Financial Controller in Consolidation assists in controlling, analyzing, and delivering S2P3 regulatory reports, including:
* Reviewing and controlling quarterly and annual S2P3 reporting and contributing to the Group Solvency II reports (RSR and SFCR).
* Understanding IFRS and S2P3 accounting treatments, reporting, and disclosures.
* Defining group timelines and instructions to ensure proper application by entities.
* Preparing internal syntheses and improving processes for quality and efficiency.
* Managing audit trails and internal controls, interacting with auditors.
* Engaging with Group departments and entities for support and process improvement.
* Contributing to team performance and supporting the audit process.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION REQUIRED :
* Degree in Audit & Accounting, Certified Accountant, Master, or Actuarial degree.
* Approximately 5 years’ experience in insurance companies (consolidation, accounting, financial controlling) or as an auditor/consultant in insurance or financial services.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED :
* Business analysis and synthesis skills.
* Knowledge of accounting, IFRS, and consolidation techniques is desirable.
* Understanding of Solvency II principles.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of SAP Magnitude is an advantage.
