A company in the Biotechnology sector, creator of Integral Solutions for Continuous Non-Invasive Monitoring. It develops Devices that make people's lives easier by monitoring their parameters without them noticing, without pain, without discomfort, wherever they are. The first focus has been on lactate measurement, initially centering its project on the world of Sport. However, it has other Biomarkers in mind, including the measurement of glucose levels, aimed at diabetic patients.
The company needs to incorporate a FIRMWARE ENGINEER.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time position as a Firmware Engineer, acting as a developer on a project involving Medical Devices.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and motivated team developing a medical device for use in remote non-invasive monitoring. The candidate will be involved in managing a medical device, optimizing it, and developing new features through embedded software in a fast-paced environment, encompassing all stages of the product lifecycle under ISO13485 QMS, EUMDR, and FDA regulatory landscape.
The candidate will work closely with quality, electronics, and materials engineers working on the hardware and sensing parts of the device. Additionally, they will engage with medical personnel, consultants, and customer service teams as a product manager.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate within a team with broad expertise in medical device development.
* Oversee the product lifecycle and maintain technical documentation according to quality management systems and regulations.
* Develop and optimize firmware/embedded software for improving algorithms, developing and validating new features, evaluating product releases, ensuring safety and data protection.
* Ensure firmware development aligns with product regulations and quality objectives.
* Identify technical solutions and risks proactively for future product releases.
* Document work in accordance with quality systems.
Qualifications / Skills
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
* Knowledge of wearable devices, embedded data processing, and algorithm development.
* Experience programming firmware in C / C++.
* Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, HAL programming, and RTOS.
* Skills in Python for algorithm/data processing development.
* Experience with version control systems like Git.
* Basic understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (DevOps).
* Experience developing low-level drivers and conducting unit testing (e.g., using CppUTest).
* Motivated, independent, dynamic, creative problem solver.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with connected health projects is a plus.
What the Company Offers

* Remuneration: approximately €40,000 - €45,000 gross per year.
