Trane Technologies invites applicants to join as a Refrigeration Engineer.

You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, developing the new generation of refrigeration in the transport business. As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be in charge of developing solutions to ensure proper temperature control for small truck units.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development work in the refrigeration side of transport refrigeration systems by delivering technical solutions to meet market requirements in time, including analytical work, component selection, and experimental assessment until units are qualified. Scheduling of work is required.
* Define component technical specifications with metrics such as volumetric efficiency, static superheat, etc., and work with suppliers during development of customized components or selection among available options. Cover all refrigeration components: expansion valves (TXVs and EEVs), heat exchangers (finned tube coils and microchannel), compressors (hermetic), etc.
* Justify concepts or prototypes for further design phases with analytical data, using commercial simulation tools or building basic models (Visual Basic, EES, Modelica).
* Collaborate with modelling specialists to determine suitable modeling approaches, boundary conditions, and consistency of results.
* Work in the laboratory where units are tested: specify test conditions, sensors, monitor progress, and lead analysis of test data.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams across different expertise areas.
* Collaborate closely with Thermo King current and prospective new suppliers during component qualification, which may require overseas travel from time to time.
* Support product management, manufacturing, service, and other cross‑functional areas from the refrigeration dimension.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in mechanical, energy, thermal, or industrial engineering; Ph.D. in a related topic to refrigeration or heat transfer is positively considered.
* Fluency in English.
* Strong analytical capabilities; experience using simulation tools and ability to build basic calculation or modeling tools.
* 3–5 years of experience in developing HVAC&R equipment, selecting or designing whole HVAC&R units or components.
* Experience in R&D projects is positively considered.
