System and Network Service Engineer – Valmet

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced System and Network Service Engineer to join our Automation Business Line in Spain. Madrid is the primary location, however we are considering other locations in the country.
Your Responsibilities
In this position you will provide customer service, such as maintenance, troubleshooting, and on‑call services, and participate in project implementations related to Distributed Control Systems (DCS). You can expect to continuously visit customer facilities across Spain and occasionally travel internationally for training purposes.
- Customer Follow‑up: Provide maintenance and troubleshooting of automation equipment at customer facilities to identify potential technical requirements, upgrades and training needs. Ensure compliance with quality assurance guidelines and support the request for spare parts and warranties, maintaining permanent customer satisfaction.
- OT System and Network Service: Support and counsel customers and internal teams for the design, maintenance and troubleshooting of system and network for Operational Technology (OT) systems.
- Databases and Information Management Service: Participate in the design and service for customer information systems and reporting tools.
- Sales support: Assist the Service Manager in the sales phase for quotation of services and equipment, following the delivery process and providing solutions to customer needs.
Who Is The Candidate We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or communication engineering or a related field.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Technical knowledge in Cisco Routing and Switching is a differential.
- Knowledge of SQL databases is a differential.
- Team building skill, technical product knowledge, cooperative in business and direct contacts, stress resistant, able to organize own work (independence and discipline), capable of multitasking, fast responsive and available.
- Willingness to travel approximately 70% of your working week around Spain.
