As a Data Scientist in the team, you will work with a squad composed of Data Scientists, MLEs, Engineers, Product Managers, and Analytics.
Our focus areas revolve around Generative AI and Large Language Models, with two key Streams: Platform and Transversal Services within the Data organization.
The Platform stream enables capabilities and infrastructure for applying Generative AI at scale with controlled cost.
The Transversal Services stream focuses on crafting customer-centric solutions to enhance the discovery experience and seller features.
ResponsibilitiesValidate and build reusable GenAI services and functionalities, including new user-facing innovations using agents, video, voice, among others, for the later benefit of the CUs.
Prepare for next-level classifieds with new GenAI-enabled capabilities, in the form of reusable services across CUs, including personalization, recommendations and assistants.
Validate GenAI-enabled solutions which can provide a step change to the user experience, while recognizing some opportunities may not be in the short-term product roadmap.
Dive into cutting-edge machine learning techniques, specializing in LLMs and GenAI, while providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Apply AI methods to core OLX product platforms deployed in the cloud, affecting the user experience for millions of visitors per month, roll solutions to production, analyze results offline and online, and measure site impact, using Python and AWS.
Engage with key stakeholders and internal customers; experiment and test ideas with autonomy.
What You Will Do In Data Science At OLXWork in the Data Science team, focusing on LLMs and GenAI, from a platform and marketplace perspective.
Build models, experiment with them, test, deploy to production, and measure true impact of your models.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, translate business requirements into achievable projects, and collaborate with infrastructure and data engineering teams.
Partner with Engineering and Product to deliver customer-facing and platform solutions to internal and external customers.
Work with Product Analytics to track KPIs of ML use cases and measure impact on customers.
Partner with the Experimentation team to integrate KPIs and proxies into the A/B testing platform.
Work in multi-functional, diverse teams across Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

Who We're Looking ForYou must be located in Barcelona.
Solid background in statistics and modeling.
Good knowledge of Python and ability to develop and maintain simple services.
Experience with AI Agents frameworks (Pydantic AI, Google ADK, Langchain, etc.).
Experience with LLM observability, evaluation and tracing concepts and frameworks (Langfuse, Arize AI, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning (supervised, unsupervised, etc.).
Very good knowledge of NLP and Deep Learning (Embeddings, Language Models, Transformers, etc.).
Good knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Understanding of engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and containers.
Hands-on experience with SQL.
Experience with MLOps.
Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Able to work in diverse, multi-functional teams with people from different backgrounds.
Nice To HaveExposure to Kotlin, Java, Scala, etc.
Experience bringing models into production and serving models at scale.
Experience using AWS for deploying machine learning solutions.
Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
Experience with building data pipelines using Spark and Airflow.
Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation.
Exposure to MLOps tools.
