The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be the brain behind our containerized water treatment plants. Your primary task will be to design, program, and implement the control systems that manage our processes, including the PLCs, pumps, valves, and monitoring equipment. You'll be crucial in ensuring our systems run efficiently, reliably, and autonomously.
What You'll Do
* Design and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems from the ground up for our water treatment units.
* Develop and implement control logic for automated sequences involving pumps, valves, sensors, and other critical components.
* Create and configure HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for intuitive operation and monitoring.
* Integrate and troubleshoot sensors and instrumentation to ensure accurate data collection and process control.
* Collaborate closely with our mechanical and chemical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
* Conduct testing and commissioning of new systems, both in-house and potentially on-site.
* Maintain clear documentation for all automation processes, including electrical drawings and control narratives.
What We're Looking For
Job-Related Competencies:
* Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Weidmüller, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.).
* Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA development.
* Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet).
* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
* Experience with process control in an industrial environment (water treatment experience is a huge plus!).
