We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Modelling Specialist to join our Financial Analysis & Modeling team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of battery energy storage systems and advanced modelling techniques in order to develop the energy model and integrate it in the financial analysis of projects in all the countries where Grenergy is present. This role involves developing, validating, and optimizing energy and financial models for the analysis of BESS and Hybrid projects (in all the development-to-operation stages) to support the investment decisions of Grenergy.
Main tasks:
* Work closely with the team to lead the evaluation, structuring, and execution of PV and BESS projects.
* Prepare and manage complex financial models for investment analysis and risk assessment.
* Develop detailed and accurate models of battery energy storage systems.
* Optimizing BESS operation and control strategies to maximize efficiency, reliability, and economic benefits.
* Collaborate with engineering, energy and operations teams to implement optimized solutions in the models.
* Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders, communicating key findings, recommendations, and insights effectively.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in BESS technology and modelling techniques.
* Contribute to research and development projects to advance the state-of-the-art in energy storage solutions.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Energy Systems, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
* 5 years’ experience in modelling (focus in simulation of battery energy storage systems and the financial/economical valuation of full projects is a plus)
* Proficiency in Excel and Python.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Knowledge of power systems and, renewable energy.
* Knowledge of project finance, is a plus.
