Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our backend team and help scale our Laravel-based platform. You will work on technical challenges including large-scale data processing, search optimization, and real-time synchronization systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain our Laravel REST API for mobile and web interfaces
* Optimize search architecture using MySQL and Algolia for sub-second performance
* Build queue systems for processing over 200,000 daily product updates
* Implement and maintain Shopify integrations
* Design scalable database solutions for high-volume data
* Contribute to AI-powered product categorization features
* Develop push notifications for mobile apps
* Support multi-language platform functionalities (English/Spanish)
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional PHP development experience
* Strong expertise in Laravel framework
* Experience with Algolia or similar search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr)
* Solid MySQL database design and optimization skills
* Experience with queue systems (Redis, Laravel Queues, RabbitMQ)
* Proficiency in REST API development
* Experience with large-scale data processing and synchronization
* Knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization
* Git version control experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Push notification implementation (Firebase, APNs)
* AI/ML integration experience
* Multi-tenant architecture knowledge
* E-commerce platform development experience
