Overview
Sales Manager Cocoa - Iberia role at ofi. Based in Valencia. This role is responsible for the Cocoa Ingredients business for the Iberian countries. You will work closely with the Cocoa Sales Team, the customer operations team, the quality department, and other teams. You will report to the PLM Powder and Head of Sales - Cocoa EMENA.
Responsibilities
* Build, develop and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at our customers.
* Proactively develop sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
* Manage contract negotiations in close cooperation with the respective product origin teams.
* Negotiate pricing, conditions and other terms to close deals.
* Maintain and manage your project pipeline actively, provide accurate sales forecasts, control exposures and visit reports with clear objectives and actions.
* Collaborate intensively with your sales colleagues, customer operations team and product origin teams.
* Report to PLM Powder and Head of Sales - Cocoa EMENA.
* Travel frequently as needed for the business, to customers and ofi locations.
* Take action within the internal organization to fulfil customer requirements and information requests.
* Project follow-up aligned with Product Platform Portfolio.
Requirements
* With a passion for food and keen interest in trends and developments in the (inter)national Food ingredient industry, preferably Cocoa background.
* With a go-getter attitude, perfectly at ease in a sales role.
* With 5+ years of relevant work experience in a comparable position within the Food Ingredient Industry and experience in market mapping and segment analysis.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
* Creative in finding solutions, a strategic thinker who also takes action and executes.
* Results oriented with good negotiation skills and the ability to link short term goals with long term goals for customers and ofi.
* A natural-born people person, with very good listening skills and with the ability to create strong relationships with customers.
* Flexible and open to new situations and people, enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with.
* Fluent in English and Spanish;
Portuguese affinity is a plus.
