What are we looking for?
* An/a Materials and Processes Engineer (Space and Electronics Sector), with at least 5 years of experience.
* Availability to join a stable project in Valdepeñas.
* Degree: Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, Industrial Engineering or similar.
* Work Schedule: full-time.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, Industrial Engineering or similar.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in space-related projects involving electronic equipment.
* Proficiency in ECSS standards, especially:
o ECSS-Q-ST-70-61C (electronic component assembly)
o ECSS-Q-ST-70-60C (PCB acceptability)
o ECSS-Q-ST-70-28C (repairs)
* Knowledge of soldering, cleaning, encapsulation, adhesives, and surface treatment processes in space environments.
* Ability to write technical documentation in English (minimum B2 level).
* Strong technical rigor, attention to detail, and quality-oriented mindset.
* Experience in projects with ESA or institutional clients in the space sector.
* Certifications such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or specific training in ECSS standards.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes in ESD environments and clean rooms.
* Experience in failure analysis and continuous process improvement.
What will your responsibilities be?
* Define, validate, and control materials and manufacturing processes for electronic boards and equipment intended for space applications.
* Oversee the qualification of electronic component assembly processes in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-61C.
* Ensure compliance with PCB acceptability requirements as per ECSS-Q-ST-70-60C.
* Coordinate and document repair activities of electronic assemblies following ECSS-Q-ST-70-28C.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation: process sheets, qualification reports, assembly and repair procedures.
* Participate in internal and external audits, as well as technical reviews with clients and space agencies.
* Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure industrialization in compliance with space standards.
