About the Role:
Our client, a respected and growing ship repair company in Southern Spain, is seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Commercial Manager to join its team in Spain. This is a key leadership role focused on driving business development, managing client relationships, and overseeing the commercial success of ship repair projects from tender through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end commercial process, including bid preparation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, managers, and key maritime stakeholders.
* Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
* Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth across the region and internationally.
* Provide commercial input during project reviews, financial planning, and risk assessments.
* Develop and manage commercial KPIs, reporting to senior leadership on revenue, margins, and pipeline progress.
* Represent the yard at industry events and meetings to enhance market visibility and client engagement.
Requirements:
* Experience in a commercial or business development role within ship repair, shipbuilding, or maritime services.
* Strong client-facing and negotiation skills with a proven record of closing complex maritime projects.
* Solid technical understanding of shipyard operations and repair processes.
* Fluency in English is essential; Spanish language skills are highly advantageous.
* EU citizenship or valid right to work in Spain required.
