Your role as Back End Developer
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior/Mid-Level Back-end Developer to join our team. As a Developer at Expivi, you can work on exciting projects, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to developing next-generation software applications.
We’ve described some roles, responsibilities and competencies below to help you understand what is expected when working as a back-end developer.
Intermediate Developer
* Partially dependent
o Dependent on creating solution/architecture
o Independent on implementation
* 3+ years of PHP experience
* The basic concept of design patterns
* The basic concept of SOLID principles
* Experience with MVC frameworks
* Experience with SQL (MySql, PostgreSQL, or similar)
* Experience with unit testing in PHPUnit
* Experience with Composer
* Experience working in a team
* Experience working with Scrum
* Nice to have:
o CI/CD
o Knowledge of Linux
o Knowledge of HTML/JS/CSS
Senior Developer
* Independent in creating solution/architecture
* Independent on implementation
* 5+ years of PHP experience
* 3+ years of MVC Framework experience
* 3+ years of experience with SQL (MySql, PostgreSQL, or similar)
* Familiar with design patterns
* Familiar with SOLID principles
* Experience with Web API development, HTTP
* Experience with consuming external APIs
* Experience with templating frameworks like blade/twig
* Experience with HTML/JS/CSS
* Experience with Linux
* Provide mentorship for junior back-end developers
* Experience working in a team
* Experience working with Scrum
* Nice to have:
o DevOps (Kubernetes, CI, CD)
o Experience with performance and optimization problems
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
* Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing systems.
* Mentor and guide junior developers when necessary.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
* Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience as a Senior/Mid-Level Developer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
* Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
o Reasonably fluent in English, word and writing (at least at a B2 level)
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
