Senior internal auditor (bilbao) - recsel international

This worldwide manufacturing business, with over 20 billion in revenue, is expanding its corporate audit function and is searching for an experienced senior auditor to lead and undertake audit missions across the group’s global operations. The role is based at our corporate centre in the Netherlands with approximately 25% travel worldwide, mainly across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

• Lead and undertake corporate audits with the assistance of team members and guest auditors, including operational audits, financial reviews and internal controls assessments across diverse commercial activities worldwide.
• Effectively communicate audit conclusions to local management in writing and orally, and follow up on reported findings, including overseeing audits as required.
• Undertake special tasks such as investigations, post‑acquisition reviews and special consulting projects.

• Circumstantial 4–6 years of audit experience gained either in a Big‑4 audit firm (or equivalent) or in internal audit within a multinational corporation.
• High fluency in English and experience working or living in different international environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

After working in this role, you are expected to develop further within the general audit function or have the possibility to move into a senior level finance or operational role within one of the group’s many subsidiaries.
