Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble room service dishes during night shift, ensuring speed, accuracy, and presentation standards.
- Support the night kitchen operations by assisting in mise en place, basic food preparation, and plating.
- Ensure all room service orders are prepared according to established recipes and hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.
- Properly store food items and ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO) during night operations.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing deliveries if required during the shift.
- Communicate efficiently with the Room Service team to ensure timely order delivery.
- Monitor and report any shortages, damages, or maintenance issues.
- Support basic preparation for next‑day operations when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as Kitchen Assistant, Commis Chef, or similar role (preferably in hotels or high‑volume kitchens).
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Good time‑management and ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic level of English is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks.
