Overview
As a Training School Manager, you will lead Training School resources to support the BU organization for specific schools in Spain. This is part of the Competency Development & Nuclear Operations team, reporting to the Director, Competency Development & Nuclear Operations.
Responsibilities
* Establish area and individual goals, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure goals are met.
* Develop area personnel and manage a group of Team Leaders who work with Program Managers from the different BU Projects.
* Develop the skills of the group and maintain SME within GOS; cross-train personnel to ensure resources qualifications to support BU Projects.
* Promote a results-oriented accountability culture; encourage employee participation in problem-solving, decision-making, and change implementation.
* Model and ensure Nuclear Safety behaviors; ensure compliance with safety, environmental, nuclear and government regulations.
* Develop and implement plans to meet customer requirements; ensure adherence to Westinghouse Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct and related policies.
* Ensure staff are informed about standards and policies; drive change aligned with organizational needs and strategic plans.
* Create a flexible workforce to accommodate variable demand within BU requirements; provide inputs to optimize resources.
* Identify resources after resource-loaded schedule development; conduct Resource Demand meetings with BU leaders to review plans and performance metrics.
* Support the BU during Bid and Proposal processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or appropriate business field.
* 5+ years of management experience in a training environment.
* 5+ years of experience on NPP Spain Training school.
* Knowledge of the certification training process, Systematic Approach to Training, and Training Processes.
* Experience supporting audits.
