The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Martín research group. The position will be funded by Project PDC2025-164904-I00 financed by MCIU/AEI.
Project Description
ICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ruben Martin. The candidate will focus on the potential of chain-walking reactions to enable a series of unconventional bond-forming reactions at remote sites for the late‑stage diversification of macromolecules.
Responsibilities
* Conduct independent research in the field of chain‑walking catalysis.
* Collaborate with group members and the larger project team.
* Publish results in high-impact journals and present them at conferences.
Requirements
* PhD in chemistry (or a closely related discipline) at the start of the contract.
* Solid and proven track record in organometallic chemistry, particularly Ni‑catalyzed cross‑coupling reactions and chain‑walking scenarios.
* Submission of a CV, cover letter and a short description of previous research; at least two referees willing to provide recommendation letters.
* Proficiency in English.
Offer and Benefits
* 3‑year full‑time contract.
* Remuneration commensurate with experience.
* Annual salary paid in twelve monthly installments.
* Official incorporation: February 2026.
