We are recruiting for an important aircraft company, a Fleet Manager.
Reporting directly to the Group COO, this position is responsible for the end-to-end management of the aircraft fleet, combining strategic planning with day-to-day operational oversight. The role is central to maximizing fleet efficiency, asset value, and commercial performance while ensuring alignment across regions and functions.
The Fleet Manager works closely with manufacturers, lessors, and internal teams to drive fleet standardization, support investment decisions, and contribute to procurement and tender activities. The position can be based in any of the company's European offices, including Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden, or Norway.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary interface with external partners such as OEMs and leasing companies, building strong, long-term working relationships.
* Provide fleet leadership across different aircraft types, coordinating with CAMO teams and regional fleet stakeholders.
* Contribute to bid and tender processes by defining technical configurations, identifying available assets, and obtaining competitive commercial proposals.
* Support supply chain activities, including RFP preparation, configuration definition, and contract development.
* Develop and maintain unified fleet plans to support investment planning, utilization optimization, and accurate asset records.
* Assess lifecycle costs and spending patterns to define cost-effective ownership and operating strategies.
* Ensure robust account management and service agreements are in place, with clear performance expectations and measurable KPIs.
* Drive improvements in fleet commonality to enhance redeployment flexibility and protect residual asset values.
Profile and Experience
* Advanced academic background in Aeronautics is desirable, though extensive practical experience in aviation operations, maintenance, or fleet management is also valued.
* Demonstrated experience managing large aircraft fleets within complex aviation environments.
* Strong commercial, financial, and analytical capabilities applied to cross-functional business initiatives.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to influence decision-making, solve complex problems creatively, and collaborate effectively across regions.
* High ethical standards, integrity, and accountability.
* Full professional fluency in English is required.
