The adecuado candidate should have experience and understand what is required of an independent cook in a kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing lunches and dinners, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring dishes are of the highest quality. A minimum of Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English is required.
Main responsibilities:
- Experience in cooking and willingness to support the Chef and colleagues in the kitchen.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure at peak times.
- Prioritize quality in food preparation and hygiene.
- Oversee tasks such as washing, vegetable preparation, cleaning, snack preparation, and mise en place.
- Assist the head chef or manage your own section in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- At least an Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English.
- Studies in Gastronomy.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the gastronomy sector.
What you will receive:
- Contract under Dutch collective agreement.
- Salary from €13 to €15.50 gross per hour (+21 years old), totaling approximately €2,140 to €2,550 gross per month. Tips of around €300 net.
- Weekly salary payments.
- Low-cost accommodation in shared housing organized by the employer, around €55-€65 per week, close to the workplace.
- At least 2 meals included during work hours.
- Workweeks averaging between 35 and 60 hours, with high season exceeding 40 hours per week.
- Work schedule provided by the employer.
- Subsidized health insurance at €33.50 per week.
- Option to rent a bicycle cheaply or receive one from the establishment.
- Boat ticket paid by our partners in the Netherlands.
- Assistance and communication in Spanish throughout the process, including interviews and information.
- One night paid for in a hostel in Groningen, followed by assistance in obtaining your BSN number at the city hall.
