As Vice President Legal, you will be responsible for the legal affairs of the company. Your role includes providing legal counsel to the board of directors, CEO, and senior management. You will focus on the legal department but also provide practical business solutions to emerging problems. You will support the Legal Director and collaborate with the other legal team members.Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate legal guidance to leadership on all organizational matters.Lead and coordinate work with external lawyers.Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.Develop and implement compliance programs and policies.Identify legal risks and propose proactive mitigation strategies.Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.Establish and manage contract management systems.Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.Coordinate with external legal counsel to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Advise on corporate governance and best practices.Maintain proper legal documentation and policies.Stay updated on legal changes affecting operations.Advocate for the company in legislative and regulatory matters.Support intellectual property management and commercialization.Assist with company expansion into new markets.Candidate Profile
Qualified lawyer with 8+ years of experience.Experience in a senior in-house legal role, preferably in fast-growing companies or Big 4 consulting.Proven leadership of legal teams.Self-motivated with excellent analytical and organizational skills.Outstanding negotiation and research skills.Fluent in English and Spanish.What We Offer
