About the role
The QC Inspector will provide onsite quality control services for the fabrication of
Production Manifolds and Foundations
at a manufacturing site in Avilés. The role involves ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards throughout welding, fabrication, and inspection activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting weld inspections before, during, and after production in line with ISO
- Performing advanced NDT methods (UT, PAUT, RT, MPI, DPI).
- Verifying WPS/PQR compliance during fabrication.
- Inspecting incoming materials and verifying mill certificates.
- Participating in root cause analysis for welding defects and supporting corrective actions.
- Preparing detailed inspection reports and supporting audits.
- Ensuring timely closure of non-conformities without impacting delivery schedule.
- Liaising closely with site representatives, materials engineers, welding engineers, and HSE leads.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 15+ years' experience in welding inspection.
- Strong background in subsea structures and production manifolds.
- Certification: CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or equivalent.
- NDT Level 3 in UT, PAUT, RT, DPI.
- Extensive experience with CRA materials (Super Duplex, Inconel 625, Alloy 59, F22).
- Strong knowledge of ASME/DNV codes and welding processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, WPS, and PQRs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English (Spanish/French beneficial).
- High commitment to HSE and compliance standards.
