As our HR Manager in Barcelona, you will support 100+ colleagues in our local office and collaborate with the broader people team to build and develop scalable people processes. You will report to the VP People and manage and develop the Barcelona People Operations and Workplace team members. You will work collaboratively with the rest of the People team in creating a world class experience for every Fourthline employee, enabling us to reach our mission to build a safer, more accessible global financial system.
In your day-to-day, you will: Lead People Operations Excellence in Barcelona
Oversee all People operations for our Barcelona office with full compliance expertise
Oversee monthly payroll processes and coordinate with external vendors.
Be a Trusted Business Partner
Act as trusted People Business Partner to managers and employees across all levels
Collaborate and partner with other People Partners and VP People to drive strategic initiatives across Fourthline
Champion employee engagement initiatives and foster our positive workplace culture, thinking locally on how they translate to our Barcelona team and globally how we build the shared experience for our Fourthline team.
Ensure Compliance & Employee Relations
Navigate Spanish labor laws and serve as primary Works Council contact
Handle complex employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
Collaborate with our Amsterdam team to ensure consistent HR practices globally
You’re perfect for this role if
You have proven experience in
people partnering or generalist roles in fast-paced, international environments
where you balanced hands-on and strategic responsibilities.
You have experience
managing and developing high performing people teams.
You continuously
look for ways to improve, automate, and innovate
to deliver operational excellence and great employee experience in everything we do.
You’re an
expert in Spanish labor law and working with Works Council
- you know the local landscape inside out and can facilitate positive outcomes
You
create positive relationships
at all levels – you’re considered an advisor to managers and leaders, bringing in the context and data, coaching them, and supporting and challenging them as needed to achieve a positive outcome.
You
focus on impact
and how your work helps move the needle in creating great Employee Experience, and you’re passionate about using data to drive decisions and change.
Fluent in
English and Spanish
with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
A
passion for people and driving positive workplace culture
in a scale-up environment
This role will include a requirement for occasional travel to Amsterdam.
